Attention Faculty: Class project opportunity. Students can host a table at the Fair Trade Vendor Fair with an informational poster presentation including topics on Fair Trade, environmental and/or developmental sustainability, trade agreements, local food, gender labor equity, child labor, or any other issue related to the principles of Fair Trade. This week, Jess Confer and I will be showing at Northern Light for First Firday in Scranton, PA. The show, which is titled Beneath the Global Textures of Life, will feature from photography from around the world with the profits going to benefit the Panamanian Hacienda La Esmeralda social program, which provides yearly scholarships for children to attend school.
